VK CERT Level 1:
Neurology Foundations
Let’s get real for a second
You have degrees. You have experience. So why do some students still feel impossible to help?
You know the laryngeal anatomy. You know the breathing mechanism. You've studied with excellent teachers and you genuinely love this work.
And yet.
The neurodivergent student who can't seem to regulate no matter what you try. The anxious performer who tightens every time it matters. The singer recovering from injury or trauma whose voice just won't cooperate. The one who's been stuck on the same plateau for two years.
You've tried every cue. Every exercise. Every reframe. And something still isn't clicking.
Here's what your training left out: one unit on motor learning (if that) is nowhere near enough for teaching the human voice.
The brain is the ultimate gatekeeper of movement. And until you understand how to work with the nervous system — not just the larynx — you're only working with half the picture.
If you are still struggling to demonstrate certain vocal colors in the studio, let's move the needle in August.
The missing piece isn't another technique. It's targeted movement.
What if the tension, the strain, the breath that won't drop, the register break that won't budge — what if those aren't bad habits? What if they're the nervous system doing exactly what it was trained to do?
My take on brain-based voice training — Vocal Kinesthetics — works at the source. Sensory input, motor output, cranial nerve function, vestibular processing. When you know how to assess and address these systems, you stop chasing symptoms and start creating changes you didn't think were possible.
Not in six months. Often in a single session.
This is the approach that changes the trajectory of a student's entire voice career. And it transforms yours too — because you are a singer, and you'll assess your own body and voice right alongside your students after this program.
This is a 3-day certification training designed to empower you to not only help your students, but to maintain your own nervous system.
Some of the topics we'll cover
How Your Brain Affects Your Voice
Cranial Nerves Assessments (brain nerves of the jaw, tongue, eyes, ears, and upper torso)
The Body’s First Line of Defense: Understanding the Role of the Eyes & Ears in Singing
The ABC’s of Coordination + Posture & Alignment
Feet and Lower Body Mechanics including a few Neuro-Mechanical Glides
Muscles of the Neck + A Neuro-Centric Breathing Perspective
Truth bomb
You need to know that rehabilitation training IS performance training.
Start with the brain.

“My nervous system, my singing, and my teaching have all been made so much better by this education...
I have truly never felt more excited for my own singing journey as well as my students’ singing journeys! This stuff is magic and has brought such a positive rejuvenating light to my life and my studio.”

“The course has significantly broadened my horizons as an educator and given me a wealth of new insights to work with. I am more kind to myself and prioritize my own safety and well being as a human, singer and a teacher.
Of course the great amount of information and knowledge was useful but also the (format &) support. Kimberly offers so much help when you have questions.”
Nicole roca, US
"I've now got so many little drills and tricks to help my students get out of their heads, connect with their bodies and open up their voices.
When doing these drills in and outside of the classes with Kim I found immediate relief in my body ..."
