FAQ

This Intro to Vocal Kinesthetics Workshop is a practical introduction to training the neurological systems that directly influence vocal coordination—but that most singers and teachers were never taught to access.

You’ll explore practical drills involving cranial nerves, visual focus, breathing mechanics, inner-ear input, and simple strength testing to show how changing sensory input can create immediate shifts in sound, ease, and consistency.

Expect to experience parts of your instrument that don’t get addressed in traditional technique, often leading to fast, measurable results in stability, resonance, and effort level.

Vocal Kinesthetics zooms out to how the whole brain–body system is processing safety, movement, and sound.

If you love learning about your voice, digging into vocology, and you’re ready to read the nervous system behind the spectrogram…

VK is where we slow it down, make it practical, and actually play with the tools so they stick instead of feeling like a neuro firehose.

🌈 Who This Work Is For

Brain-based training is made for the

Voice/Actor Pro + Teacher who is:

  • Compassionate and intuitive
  • Obsessed with individualizing their training
  • Obsessed with the brain and body
  • Tired of outdated pedagogy
  • Ready for tools that actually work with brains that work a little differently from anxiety, stress, neurodivergence or trauma
  • Hungry for a competitive edge
  • Ready to be the go-to teacher for “tough cases”

A singer themselves coming back their voice after a period of transition, injury, stress or someone just craving more embodiment in their voice

If this is you or your students, you’re in the right place.

To trust the voice, you have to understand the unique brain in front of you.

Voice Pro/Singer testimonials

Kaitlyn Taylor

I didn’t know how much my hearing had an effect on my voice, my anxiety, and my ADHD symptoms.

Improving this system has helped me think more clearly, calm my body, improve my mood, and I feel like I can communicate and listen more effectively as a voice teacher and movement professional.”

Emily Halloway

“This course is MAGIC! Kim is so encouraging, inviting, and knowledgable about all things the brain! If you are interested at all in how the brain affects singers and want to take this to your studio, you should DEFINITELY join Vocal Kinesthetics.

It is enlightening and you will feel like a world of possibilities open up for you as a singer, voice teacher, and a human.”

Daniel Bayot

"So you do the VK mentorship, you feel the changes in your voice but then you also feel the changes in your nervous system globally  - and then you realize that your voice working better is just a byproduct of the whole brain working better.

My ADHD symptoms, strength, confidence, jaw pain, back pain and body dysmorphia all improved dramatically as a result of this work."

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

It’s time to level up your teaching game and help singers move trauma out of the body without discussing it at length. Rehabilitation training is performance training for high-level athletes.
